Bookkeeper
Our Mission
The mission and purpose of the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival (WWCMF) is to promote excellence in the performance of chamber music throughout the greater Walla Walla Valley area, to embody these qualities as members of a greater community, and to raise the general level of interest in classical music, especially chamber music, in the Walla Walla Valley area. WWCMF strives to serve audiences through the following measures:
Performance of chamber music works across the entire aesthetic spectrum of classical music. WWCMF also actively seeks to partner with other artists and art media to create multi-faceted performances that promote additional fine arts media.
Promotion of new works by partnering with present-day composers in the commissioning and creation of new works to expand the contemporary music repertoire.
Presentation of educational programs to expand the means for understanding and appreciating classical music.
The Position
The bookkeeper oversees day-to-day financial transactions, adhering to nonprofit accounting standards. They will provide accurate and timely financial data.
Part-time (roughly 30hrs/mo.), flexible hours, starting August 1

Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Process donations, grants, and other funding sources to ensure accurate recording.
Assist in the preparation of budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Generate and post checks to cover payments for operational expenses and other nonprofit expenditures, to be approved by the Executive Director or Artistic Director.
Track and report on grant spending to ensure alignment with grant agreements.
Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements.
Invoicing
Additional general office administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Accreditation in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping within a nonprofit organization or a similar setting.
Skill in bookkeeping processes and accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of nonprofit regulations and accounting principles, including fund accounting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
No music or performing arts experience required, but appreciated
